Given the current status of overseas recruitment processes in Bangladesh, DEVCOM carried out a nationwide Industry Competitive Analysis of Recruiting Agencies in Bangladesh for Global Fund to End Modern Slavery’s project. The study was conducted from November 2018 – January 2019. While migration fares as an important aspect to the development of Bangladesh, the framework for the sector still requires attention for improvement. Bangladeshi migrant workers often face rights violation at various stages of migration, especially starting from the recruitment process to their working conditions at destination countries. The research conducted under the project purported to provide entry level and in-depth analytical data that is to effectively streamline program activities and aid in the driver analysis objectives moving forward.
