Gender and Social Inclusion Assessment’ for World Vision Bangladesh is completed
On February 2020, DEVCOM accomplished the “Gender and Social Inclusion Assessment and Resource Development process” for World Vision Bangladesh under the ‘Gender Inclusive Pathways Out of Poverty for Vulnerable Households in Cox’s Bazar (G-POP Project)’. The G-POP Project piloted this gender-inclusive Ultra-Poor Graduation (UPG) approach in the fragile context, where the rapid arrival of Rohingya refugees has further exacerbated existing vulnerabilities amongst the host community who were already living in poverty. One of the outcomes of the project has been to improve social empowerment and gender inclusion for the ultra-poor households in Ukhiya and Teknaf Upazlia. To support this initiative, DEVCOM implemented the Gender and Social Inclusion Assessment and developed necessary Resources including Training Modules and BCC materials for World Vision Bangladesh and World Vision Australia.
