Two Baseline Surveys were accomplished for Manusher Jonno Foundation (MJF) partners
MJF supports the partner NGOs to protect the rights of the migrant workers of Bangladesh. As a part of it, MJF approached DEVCOM to conduct two baseline surveys, which were implemented by BILS (Bangladesh Institute of Labour Studies) and BASTOB. The first baseline survey was conducted for BILS for the project ‘Migrant Workers Empowerment Project’. The second baseline survey was conducted for BASTOB for the project ‘Making Migration Safe and Respectful for both Potential and Returnee Migrants in Bangladesh’. In both of the researches, DEVCOM evaluated the current condition of both returnee and potential migrant workers in the area. The research has brought together several different key indicators related to potential and returnee migrants’ wellbeing, livelihood, psychosocial wellness and reasons for migration.
