Center for Development Communications DEVCOM organized a Thematic Dialogue on “Gender Equality and Women Empowerment: the normal is new, the violence not” on August 24, 2020. The Thematic Dialogue was participated by Government Representatives, Donor Agencies, Un Agencies, INGOs, NGOs, CSOs and Media.

Ms. Aroma Dutta, Parliamentarian and Activist, Dr. Abul Hossain, Project Director, Multi-Sectoral Programme on Violence Against Women, Ministry of Women and Children Affairs, Dr. Tania Haque, Professor, Department of Women and Gender Studies, University of Dhaka, Ms. Banasree Mitra Neogi, Gender Advisor, Manusher Jonno Foundation (MJF), Ms. Nobonita Chowdhury, Director, Gender Justice and Diversity, BRAC, Ms. Mushfiqua Zaman Satiar, Senior Policy Adviser, SRHR and Gender, Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Ms. Tapati Saha, Programme Analyst, Women's Economic Empowerment Programme, UN Women and Mr. Habibur Rahman, Freelancer were the key Speakers in the Thematic Dialogue.

Ms. Sheepa Hafiza, Equality & Rights Activist presented the keynote paper. The workshop was moderated by Hassan Imam, Managing Director, DEVCOM.
