Webinar on “Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights for the Climate-induced Migrant Women and Girls Living in the Urban Slums”
DEVCOM, in collaboration with United Nations Populations Fund (UNFPA) Bangladesh, organized a webinar on “Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights for the Climate-induced Migrant Women and Girls Living in the Urban Slums”. The discourse was aimed to help promote and strengthen the interconnectedness of research findings of SRHR issues faced by climate-induced migrant women and girls living in urban slums, policy and strategy documents, practices, and advocacy evidence to ensure universal access to SRHR in Bangladesh. Representatives of the government of Bangladesh, UN agencies, development partners, academia, researchers, international NGOs, district-level and divisional NGOs, and development practitioners working in the field of SRHR and climate change issues were present in the webinar. The webinar provided a platform for participants to discuss the best possible means and interventions to meet the SRHR needs of the climate-induced migrant women and girls. The webinar was held on 21st December 2021 on Zoom.
