Evaluation of “Humanitarian assistance project in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh”
DEVCOM conducted the mid-term evaluation of a project “Humanitarian assistance in the sectors of Protection, WASH, Shelter/NFI and Site Management & Site Development for Rohingya and host communities in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh”, which was funded by Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe (DKH) and German Federal Foreign Office (GFFO) and implemented by Nabolok Parishad and Action for Social Development (ASD). DEVCOM collected information with a particular focus on the project log frame and comparability to available baseline data to critically assess the progress of the project indicators. Moreover, DEVCOM assessed the changes in knowledge, attitude, practice, and behavior of the targeted groups and other stakeholders both, in Rohingya and host communities by the project interventions. Based on the collected data, DEVCOM suggested recommendations for designing a new similar project following the findings from this evaluation, lessons learned of the project, and good practices of the implemented interventions derived from assessing the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of the current project strategies and interventions.
