International Organization for Migration (IOM) with the technical assistance of DEVCOM has supported the Bureau of Manpower Employment and Training (BMET) in developing a comprehensive housekeeping training curriculum for two months for female migrant workers going to Middle Eastern countries. BMET had expressed their many expectations on including new content and updated information in the comprehensive version of the curriculum in their consultations before developing the curriculum, which DEVCOM was able to fulfill. As part of the assignment, DEVCOM-
- Conducted Gaps assessment on the existing housekeeping training and manual.
- Validated the findings from the gaps assessment with the BMET officials and TTC trainers.
- Developed outline and methodology for the housekeeping training and finalized with the consultation of migration-related stakeholders.
- Developed the housekeeping curriculum along with a facilitator's guide with new and upgraded content.
- Developed training materials for the ease of facilitators and take-away materials for the migrants.
- Provided training of trainers (ToT) to the housekeeping trainers of various TTCs.
